Distribution Manager
Job Location: Indianapolis, Indiana
Description:
Manage Distribution and Receiving operations at the 700M square foot Indianapolis DC location. This is a supervised, unionized operation, running 1–3 shifts per day in a computerized RF WMS environment.
Specific Duties & Responsibilities:
· Manage the customer requirements of the Consumer customer base
· Manage the hourly workforce requirements
· Organize warehouse locations per strategy of product types
· Develop an effective carrier plan for product movement to destination
· Ensure efficient inbound receipt and put away
· Ensure inventory integrity in finished goods and raw materials
· Implement Lean concepts for continuous operations improvement and cost reduction
· Management of administrative team
· Lead safety and housekeeping efforts in the warehouse operations
Qualifications:
· Minimum of Associates degree; an Operations or Logistics degree or Industrial Engineering degree a plus
· Minimum of 5–10 years management experiencee
· Must be able to take a varied group of customer requirements and formulate an operations plan and manning plan to achieve order fulfillment and on time shipment
· Experience with BPCS or PkMS WMS are a plus
