Job Summary:
Provide compassionate nursing care to patients at the end-of-life in the home setting to maximize their comfort and manage their symptoms. Assess and report patient health problems and needs. Provide instruction and emotional support to the primary caregiver. Provide supervision to LPN's and CNA's giving care. Work collaboratively with other hospice care team members.
- Knowledge/Skills:Hospice philosophy of care
- Information and techniques needed to assess human injuries and diseases including symptoms, treatment alternatives, drug properties and interactions
- In collaboration with the case manager, consult and coordinate with other hospice team members to assess, plan, implement and evaluation patient care plans; Monitor, record and report symptoms and changes in patient's condition
- Provide personal assistance, medical attention, emotional support or other personal care; Modify care plans as indicated by patient responses and conditions
- Maintain accurate, detailed written reports and records
- Computer literate
Qualifications:
- Must have and maintain Arizona RN licensure
- Current Adult CPR certification
- Two years of varied clinical nursing experience; home health or hospice preferred, but not required
- Ability to work overtime as requested by supervisor

Compensation:
$18.95-28.00 per hour, D.O.E., plus mileage
