SUMMARY:
HR Anew is a full service human resources management consulting and professional services firm headquartered in Columbia, MD. BASIC FUNCTION:
The Training and Professional Development Specialist is responsible for providing project management support in the design, development, delivery and measurement of HR Anew’s learning services and products. Under the direction of management, they will also assist in HR Anew’s efforts in customizing and delivering cutting edge training solutions and programs. He/she will have the ability to plan, direct and coordinate the training activities needed to support each client’s needs. They will also assist the Learning and Professional Development Manager on special corporate projects identified by senior management.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design, develop, and assist with the implementation of training programs and products.
- Support the ongoing management, maintenance, and adherence to the operating model for assessing training needs, designing and delivering training solutions, and systems for measurement / evaluation for program effectiveness.
- Assist with the budget planning and forecasting process as needed / required to implement customize training solutions for clients.
- Organize training venues, logistics, transport, accommodations as required to achieve efficient training attendance and delivery.
- Identify, select and manage external training accreditation bodies, agencies and providers necessary to deliver required training to appropriate standards.
- Coordinate with and support external instructional designers who partner with HR Anew on the course design and facilitation of training programs.
- Support special projects and various project management initiatives as identified by senior management. Coordinate project logistics.
- Serve as a back-up for proposal development initiatives, including research and business analysis activities for the purpose of successful contract awards.
- Assist in the development of training that is presented via multiple vehicles, such as facilitator led training, self-study, blended learning, and e-learning.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in training, psychology, human resources, or related field.
Skills
- Excellent project management skills.
- Must possess live and web-training experience.
- Experience with Articulate and SPSS is a strong plus.
- Must be able to function in a multi-task environment, as part of a team and individually.
- Must have integrity and high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential issues involving all internal and external customers.
- Conference and meeting planning skills are a plus.
- Ability to collaborate with all levels of staff and management.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects under the pressure of deadlines and a busy department environment.
- Able to successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Must possess superior communication skills (both written and oral), and strong interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office Applications including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Must possess creativity in project development thought process.
- Work requires continual attention to detail in creating and proofing materials, establishing priorities and meeting deadlines.
Experience
- 2 - 4 years of related experience.
Certificates/ Licenses:
Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or American Society for Training and Development (ASTD), preferred.
Other Work Requirements:
- An occasional requirement to work overtime and/or travel.
