Description: The SD Army National Guard is accepting candidates ages 17 - 34 years old with either a high school diploma, or GED. Candidates who have withdrawn from high school for at least one year and are not eligible to return to school for a diploma may receive assistance in getting their GED in order to enlist. Applicants must pass the entrance test, physical, drug screening, and not have any pending legal action against them (other than minor offenses). There are a number of training opportunities in the area of your choice. Enlistees will normally serve one weekend per month, and two full weeks during the summer. Pay reflects full time duty; will be pro-rated for drill weekends. Higher education may qualify candidates for higher starting pay. Education opportunities, enlistment bonuses for qualified programs, and retirement benefits are available for qualified applicants.
