Overview:
An immediate opportunity is available for a motivated Project Engineer for a Houston based specialty contractor serving the refining, petrochemical and related industries. AQYR Inc. Executive Search has partnered with this industry leader to find an Engineer who will be part of a team specializing in the maintenance, repair, installation and revamp of distillation towers, reactors, vessels, drums and associated internals.
Responsibilities:
The primary duties would be to provide mechanical engineering support for projects ranging from minor vessel repairs to major revamps. Tasks would include: scope definition/refinement, preparation of vessel calculations, preparation of detail drawings, coordination of material procurement, specification of welding procedures, and preparation of inspection plans. The Project Engineer will report to and work under the direction of a licensed professional engineer and will be required to interface with construction supervision, project management, and clients. This position will require a motivated, organized and detail-oriented individual capable of handling multiple projects.
Qualifications:
-2-5 years experience related to process plant fixed equipment
-Knowledge of ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Codes
-Knowledge of nondestructive examination methods
-Interest and understanding of general structural design calculations
-Proficient with AutoCad
-Proficient with Microsoft Office tools
-Strong verbal and written communication skills
-EIT or PE
-BSME
-Experience with vessel engineering software a plus
-Familiarity with mass transfer equipment a plus
-Lifting/Rigging engineering experience a plus
