Overview:
Senior Mechanical EngineerAQYR, Inc. Executive Search has partnered with a leading Architecture Firm to hire a Senior Mechanical Engingeer. The experienced candidate will direct and/or perform design and estimating duties for HVAC systems, while maintaining regular customer contact and interface. Additionally this position provides mentoring, training, tutoring for the development and growth department junior staff. This company is housed in a "state-of-the-art" facility! Responsibilities:
- Maintains regular interface and dialogue with customers for the development and maintenance of continuous presence customers
- Mentor junior staff members, providing oversight and review of work efforts, and assisting with skill development and knowledge growth.
- Direct / Coordinate project teams for large, multi-faceted, complex projects. Assuming responsibility for achieving project schedule and fulfilling all project requirements.
- Directs / Executes multiple projects simultaneously.
- Review and understand project requirements and documents. Including performing any necessary site inspections or surveys to obtain required information.
- Perform building heating and air conditioning load calculations.
- Develop HVAC system solutions and present alternatives with pros and cons.
- Properly size and select equipment for HVAC systems.
- Design hydronic and steam piping systems, including system modeling and pressure loss calculations.
- Design HVAC duct systems including system modeling and pressure loss calculations.
- Prepare and solicit vendor/subcontractor bids for projects.
- Direct / develop project cost estimates.
- Direct / Develop project proposals.
- Maintain project files and records.
- Maintain meeting notes and action items list.
- Prepare specifications as required to meet project requirements
- Review / Approval of equipment submittal and shop drawings.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering Sciences.
- Minimum ten years relevant experience.
- Professional Engineering License is preferred
