Overview:
AQYR Inc., an executive search firm specializing in the placement of aerospace professionals, has partnered with an internationally respected aircraft manufacturer to recruit an ODAR Administrator. This is a fantastic opportunity; a full time, permanent position with benefits, located in Wichita, Kansas.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and maintain ODAR (Organizational Designated Airworthiness Representative) procedures manual, for example, roster of ODARs and authorized function codes, auditing requirements for designated suppliers, designated representatives, and procedures manual, reporting relationships to production certificate, routing of conformity paperwork, and quarterly FAA activity reports. Coordinate appointment activities with FAA and business to appoint qualified individuals as an ODAR and/or CAT Inspectors 1/2/8; for example, review qualifications per function codes, training and testing, and write formal recommendation letters. Provide initial training to newly appointed ODARs and CAT Inspectors 1/2/8 via classroom, on-the-job, and arranging formal FAA training;Monitor certification schedules to ensure ODARs receive recurrent FAA training requirements and maintain current certification for authorized function codes.
Qualifications:
Seven years of experience in aircraft quality assurance and/or conformity, which must include two years experience performing airworthiness and conformity activities or equivalent. Bachelors in Engineering, Business, or a related OR two additional years of experience in aircraft quality assurance and/or conformity. Working knowledge of FAA regulations, orders, and advisory circulars FAA Designee (DAR, ODAR, DMIR, etc.) or related training preferred.
