Lead Stress Engineer

Overview:
AQYR Inc., an executive search firm specializing in the placement of aerospace professionals, has partnered with an international leader in aircraft manufacturing to recruit a Lead Stress Engineer. This is a fantastic opportunity to join an elite team supporting the development of a new aircraft. This is a permanent, full time position which includes an outstanding benefits and relocation package. Located in Wichita, Kansas.
Responsibilities:
Report directly to the Manager of Technical Engineering
Lead Stress Team
Develop internal design loads using conventional and finite element techniques
Provide strength checks of structural airframe and system components
Conduct stress analysis in support of new design for both metallic and composite structures
Support aircraft development from preliminary design through certification
Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in Engineering Aerospace/Mechanical Engineering
Applicable aircraft structural design and stress analysis experience, preferably working with composites
General knowledge of fatigue damage tolerance and fracture mechanics
Experience with certification rules and requirements
DER or ability to grow into DER position in stress related area preferred
FAA/TC/EASA preferred
