Overview:
Electrical Design EngineerAQYR Inc., Executive Search has partnered with a leading aerospace manufacturer to hire an Electrical Design Engineer. The right candidate will design the electronic or electrical elements of aircraft instruments and related items that are consistent with established standards by performing the following duties. The chosen candidate will work under minimal supervision of the Engineering Manager.
Responsibilities:
Required duties include:
1. Creates or develops the electrical design of aircraft instruments and supports the design from the initial concept to prototype and to final production.
2. Creates or develops electronic drawings; circuit schematics of instruments; bills of material; printed circuit artwork; to customer, AS9100 and FAA specifications.
3. Creates or develops software and/or firmware for products and software for test equipment using DO-178B standards.
4. Creates and analyzes engineering documentation such as safety and maintenance requirements; calibration and operating requirements.
5. Investigates and analyzes the root cause of failures for aircraft instruments at the component level.
6. Evaluates, tests, and qualifies instruments per FAA, AS9100, DO160E and customer specifications.
7. Interprets revisions and updates engineering drawings and documents as per FAA revisions through change request and change orders as per Company procedures.
8. Investigates customer product performance complaints.
9. Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of the Company, department, or employees.
10. Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists employees in solving work problems.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree with emphasis in Electrical Engineering
3 to 5 years Electronics or Software Engineering; or equivalent combination of training and experience.
