This is a key role within their organization and requires a candidate with solid knowledge in corporate and partnership income tax compliance and FAS 109 accounting experience. Responsibilities:
The Tax Manager will have the responsibility for managing all aspects of income taxation for various entities including tax accounting, federal, state, and foreign tax compliance, and assisting with tax planning initiatives. The Tax Manager will work with internal accounting groups as well as collaborating with outside CPA firms in the management of tax compliance. Gain a thorough understanding of the business activities and ensure proper tax treatment of business related issues. Answer federal and state audit requests. Assist with various tasks related to the corporate oversight of tax compliance procedures and/or to assist with the consolidation of the federal corporate return.
- Manage and review federal, state and foreign tax compliance, including returns and quarterly estimates
- Manage and review FAS 109 tax accounting on a monthly, quarterly and yearly basis
- Respond to federal and state IDRs and notices
- Assist with tax planning initiatives
Qualifications:
The best candidate for the Tax manager opportunity will have the following qualifications:
- 5+ years experience in a professional tax role.
- Must have corporate and partnership income tax compliance experience.
- FAS 109 accounting experience for income taxes.
- Prefer Big 4 or large corporation experience.
- Prefer experience with U.S. reporting for controlled foreign entities.
- Must have Bachelor degree in accounting
- Prefer Masters Degree
- Prefer CPA
