Responsibilities:
The Sr. Accounting Manager will be responsible for the following:
-Provide guidance and expert advice on implementation of new accounting standards to Director.
-Coordinate and provide subject matter expertise on technical accounting issues/projects as assigned.
-Assist in training on new standards and technical accounting updates for controller’s organization.
-Key member of the Accounting Policy and Advisory Committee – formulate and draft new accounting policies, best practice guides or frameworks.
-Develop research papers on technical accounting matters.
-Assist in monitoring regulatory accounting environment for key developments impacting organization with timely updates to management team.
-Maintain publication of regulatory accounting watch list.
-Key contact on technical accounting issues.
Qualifications:
The best candidate for the Sr. Accounting Manager role will have the following qualifications:
-5+ years public or private accounting experience.
-Strong technical, research and analytical skills.
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
-Ability to understand complex technical accounting standards.
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
-Prefer experience applying GAAP to complex business transactions.
-Must have Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
-Prefer CPA.
-Prefer Master’s in accounting.
