Position Overview:

Candidate will have knowledge of products and systems to provide customer assistance in selection of catalog number based on description, application or competitive part numbers.

In-depth product application knowledge, company capabilities and limitations, third party standards, and engineering design practice.

Responsibilities:

• Work within pre-established, product development guidelines and instructions to perform the task required
• Collaborate with staff members in the design and development of electrical construction products and integration methods
• Ability to analyze customer product requirements and questions and respond through catalog standards, code, bills of material and drawing data base.
• Candidate should have a basic understanding or aptitude to learn basic industrial wiring methods included panel wiring and motor control applications.
• Interpret customer performance requirements and develop optimum price and performance
• Exercise diplomacy in resolving conflicting customer performance expectations
• Convey technical requirements to engineering team members
• Assist in internal test and R&D efforts
• Lead or assist in the development of technical papers
• Other duties as required

Qualifications include:

• B.S. in E.E. /M.E. field and/or physics, M.S. preferred; power electronics curriculum preferred
• Clear, respective and effective oral and written communications skills
• Knowledge of Lean product development
• High results-driven attitude
• Experience in hazardous location applications is preferred
