Position Overview:

Ensure that high quality products are built efficiently, according to the established production schedule, and while maintaining a motivated work force.

Responsibilities:

1. Supervise production employees on 1st Shift:

• Plan and coordinate department activity/workload;
• Monitor employee performance, providing feedback;
• Complete performance reviews;
• Encourage growth, development, and training of staff;
• Provide cross-training within department;
• Ensure that employees perform work safely.

2. Ensure the efficient construction of high quality products:

• Keep work current with the established production schedule and standards;
• Maintain open communications with other departments to promote efficiency;
• Regularly inform production manager of current production status;
• Seek to improve production efficiency;
• Maintain clean work environment that utilizes best accepted industry practice.

3. Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications include:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• College degree preferred with a minimum of two years production supervisory experience, electronics knowledge and SMT assembly experience helpful.
• Exposure to / Knowledge of Lean manufacturing concepts is helpful, as well as experience with other standards (i.e. ISO).
• Working knowledge of GAI-Tronics product lines helpful.
• Must be able to distinguish and identify different components/part colors.
• PC literacy required. Knowledge of SAP helpful.
