Responsibilites include:

• Plans, designs and coordinates integration of new product and technology into the manufacturing facility by performing the following duties.
• Performs all of the activities and duties of a Manufacturing Engineer including development and preparation of equipment specifications, major tool procurements, performance requirements, cost analyses, and major proposals for integrating new technology into the manufacturing environment. Provide engineering support to assigned areas of the manufacturing plant. Support will include but is not limited to dispositions of rejects, preparation of method deviations and analysis of process problems related to material, methods, or machines.
• Analyze, recommend and implement process improvements that improve quality and reduce manufacturing costs. Emphasis is on justification of major capital equipment expenditures.
• Work with Application Engineering and Product Design to develop processes, equipment specifications, cost analyses, operation sheets, item openers, make vs. buy decisions, and tooling for new products. Participates in pilot runs and debugging of new processes and machines.
• May provide manufacturing input to Safety Committee (SAC), Customer Service, Marketing, QC and Purchasing
• Additional duties may require some tool design, CNC programming, preparation of stage drawings and set-up sheets, gage specifications, PLC programming, capacity and utilization studies, layouts, Capital Equipment justifications, PCN initiation and approvals and vendor liaisons.
• Participates in department meetings, seminars, training sessions to stay apprised of new developments, in the field.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor`s degree (B.S.) in Mechanical Engineering from four-year college or university; or four to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
