Position Overview:

Kim Lighting is an industry leader in the Architectural Outdoor Lighting market. Kim Lighting develops architecturally relevant parking structure, landscape, and outdoor lighting products that are sold to the commercial lighting market through electrical distributors. The Kim Lighting VP of Brand Management has comprehensive responsibility for the brand at large. This includes the formulation and execution of the Brand Strategic Plan, in support of the Hubbell Lighting Strategic Plan.

Responsibilities:

1. Develop, execute and continually refine Kim Lighting`s Brand positioning in alignment with growth and profit objectives.

2. Oversee all Product Management, Product Development, Product Engineering, Sales and Marketing efforts.

3. Proactively partner with internal functional groups to maintain and advance high levels of customer service.

4. Manage Kim Lighting`s pricing strategy.

5. Oversee identification, evaluation and implementation of new product development and product management.

6. Manage Demand Planning process in partnership with Production Control.

7. Manage Kim Lighting`s product management, sales and marketing activities. Analyze competitive landscape and adapt Brand Strategy as appropriate to maintain and extend Kim Lightings leadership position in the industry.

8. Direct the Kim Lighting Marketing Manager in the development and implementation of the Brand Strategy.

9. Direct the Kim Lighting Sales Manager in the development and implementation of the Brand Sales Strategy.

Education and Work Experience Required:

1. BS/BA in Marketing, Business, Engineering, Architectural Engineering, Architecture, or related degree required. MBA preferred.

2. 15 (+) years of related marketing and/or product management experience is needed, with a minimum of 5(+) years of experience at the management level.

3. Lighting or electrical industry experience is required. Lighting industry experience with an emphasis upon architecturally oriented products is strongly preferred. Outdoor lighting experience a plus.

4. Strong strategic capability required. Experience in development and implementation of a 5-year Strategic Plan preferred.

5. Relevant experience in Brand Management, Marketing Management, Engineering, Product Development/Management or Sales Management preferred.

6. Strong financial aptitude and experience required. Must be conversant in financial terms, income statements, etc.

7. This position involves the direct and indirect supervision of personnel and requires interpersonal and management skill. At least 5 (+) years of personnel management experience required.

8. General familiarity with current and historical HID, LED, Induction, and compact fluorescent components, technologies, materials and methods a plus.

9. Strong working knowledge of, experience with and proficiency in office computer systems and software (including word processing, spreadsheets, databases, personal information managers, presentation programs, Internet browsing and e-mail) required.

10. Must possess the ability to motivate people and facilitate interdepartmental and interpersonal cooperation and positive cultural change. This requires strong interpersonal, communication and organization skills, a high degree of enthusiasm, an extremely positive attitude and a strong vision for excellence.

11. Must possess a sufficient breadth of experience to effectively interface with most all functions within the company to bring new products to market, further the brand image, increase sales, etc.

Additional Information: Travel of up to 30% required may be required.
