Position Overview:

This role oversees the design, development, and maintenance of all of the varying communications tools utilized by the internal communication team. The major mediums that this position oversees include TheWire and Ektron and will eventually include customer facing mediums as well. This role works with a matrix team to ensure that business stakeholder teams are able deliver consistent and timely communications and products.

Responsibilities include:

  • Research and design new functionality for The Wire based on the needs of the business and those of the Internal Communications network.
  • Act as liaison between business users and technical team
  • Develop functional specification documentation and wireframes for all new features to enable the ease of development of these features working in conjunction with the Application Development team. This documentation ensures that the needs of the business are met when development is complete.
  • Responsible for the functionality of all social media features on The Wire.
  • Ensures the continued availability of The Wire working in conjunction with the Application Development team by monitoring system resources, web tracking data, and by performing regular functional and performance tests on existing and new features of the website.
  • Provide web tracking data from The Wire to the Director of Communicators to help educate them on the types of content and information that resonates with employees.
  • Manage the creation of new content areas of The Wire and provide training and resources to new content owners.
  • Provide support for the Ektron administrative tools to all Communicators across the country.
  • Manage the growth of The Wire as a business vehicle for Communications ensuring that the site meets it`s goals and objectives.
  • Provides additional training and support to Internal Communications team for a variety of software applications (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc).
  • Review, analyze, evaluate, and advise on business systems and processes
  • Re-engineer and optimize business processes, workflow, and data flow
  • Capture and document business requirements and processes
  • Lead projects, facilitate project meetings, and manage tasks and deliverables
  • Present information and recommendations to senior management
  • Develop training guides and lead user training sessions
  • Perform testing and quality control of technical solutions

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 (+) years of experience with website development
  • Experience using CMS systems, preferably Ektron
  • Proven track record at achieving measurable improvements in web results and conversions
  • Proficient with HTML, PHP, .NET, Javascript or Jquery.
  • Bachelors degree in business or information technology
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills
  • Good customer service skills and a people person
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and business requests
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint)
  • Team player, self-starter & goal oriented
  • Familiar with a variety of the web and desktop technology concepts, practices, and procedures
