Required:

EDUCATION:

BA/BS degree in Safety Management, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Engineering or relevant degree. Masters preferred.
7-10 Years Experience in a safety role
3+ Years in a safety leadership position within a manufacturing environment

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for driving safety and industrial hygiene within the Centralia location through safety initiatives, training, identification of safety risk, and assessment of new operations. Additionally this position will focus on continuing to drive safety into the culture at all levels of the organization. Finally ensuring compliance with all state and federal laws relating to safety including; safety programs, recording and reporting of incidents, and general safety practices.

• Ensure 100% compliance with state, federal, and local safety regulations.
• Develop and coordinate safety training to employees as needed.
• Manage, coordinate and perform internal safety inspections and audits across the Centralia campus
• Oversee/manage all safety incident/accident investigations, including incident prevention and corrective action implementation.
• Write, maintain and train on safety programs policies and procedures.
• Communicate/deliver safety metrics, goals and performance to platform and corporate safety management.
• Liaison for all federal, state and local environmental and safety inspections at all applicable facilities.
• Work closely with Plant Management, HR personnel and Workers Compensation provider on safety-related policies, incident prevention and case management.
