Description:
Hubbell Power Systems (HPS) is a leader in the manufacture and distribution of a wide variety of transmission, distribution, substation, OEM and telecommunications products used by utilities. In addition, HPS products are used in the civil construction, transportation, gas and water industries. Currently HPS has an opening in their Leeds, AL facility, located minutes outside of Birmingham, for a Transmission Substation – Product Engineer. The qualified candidate will possess the following:
The qualified candidate will possess 1(+) year of mechanical engineering experience with prior experience in power transmission or related industry strongly preferred. Will be reviewing products for compliance with engineering principles, company standards and customer requirements. Coordinates activities concerned with technical developments, scheduling and resolving engineering design and test problems as well as evaluating and approving design changes, specifications and drawing releases.
Requirements:
BSME or BSEE required, 1(+) year of prior engineering design experience, Autocad experience, Unigraphics a big plus.
Ability to relocate in future for promotion is preferred.
Travel:
Up to 25%.
