ACCOUNTABILITY OBJECTIVE
The Territory Manager is responsible for the sales and promotion of Hubbell Wiring Device-Kellems products through Distribution to end-users and specifying influences and for attaining assigned sales quotas within a territory.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
1. Manage an assigned territory to ensure effective, efficient and economical use of available time and Company assets to achieve sales objectives.
2. Conduct sales calls on Distributors and all potential users/consumers of Hubbell Wiring Device-Kellems products.
3. Train Distributor personnel to sell and promote Hubbell products; manage Distributor inventory/investments to ensure maintenance of proper inventories to service the trading area and maximize the “Return on Investment”.
4. Maintain accurate account records (TMS/Electronic TMS).
5. Conduct sales training, internal and external, within the District and Region as directed by Field Management.
6. Conduct formal sales presentations to various groups, distributors and end-users. Communicate to various types of end-users in a variety of ways, either by letter, telephone, small group meetings, person to person meetings, Trade Shows and Business oriented social functions.
7. Communicate through District Manager on any issues, problems, opportunities, successes and new products.
8. Service distributors and end-users while creating demand for the Company’s product offering.
9. Build rapport and strong relationships with distribution, end-users and specifying influences.
10. Communicate through District Manager on new products, product modifications and sales tools.
11. Cover open territories with assignment made by the District Manager.
12. Serves as a customer information center for literature requests, catalog requests, technical detail, drawings and cross-reference information.
13. Product Complaints (No Injury)
- Will act as a liaison between customer and Milford for successful resolution on any inoperable product.
14. Special prices direct orders and WCs
- Generates renewal paperwork for pricing and approval.
- Verifies correct entry of contracts.
- Handles claim discrepancies between Milford and distributor.
15. Shows and Schools
- Coordinates invitations, registrations, diplomas and marketing fund deductions.
- Schedules ships and Receives Display.
16. Qualifies sales leads and routes for action.
17. Coordinates requests for RGAs.
RELATIONSHIPS
Internal: Report to District Manager with overall responsibility to Regional Vice President.
External: Distributors, End-users, Specifiers and all influences that could impact sales.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Four-year college degree with five (2-5) years Industry experience or high school degree with seven (5) years Industry experience.
