Description:
This position is a full-time permanent position with Cogent Healthcare. As a full-time permanent employee of Cogent Healthcare, this position will be located on-site working in conjunction with Hackensack University Medical Center. Anyone applying for this position will be screened first by the HUMC Human Resources Department. Cogent Healthcare will then conduct the interviews and hire for this position for Cogent Healthcare.
Qualifications and Requirements:
MD or DO degree
ABIM or AOBIM certification in Internal Medicine.
License (or eligible) to practice in the respective state
Demonstrated leadership and management skills
Knowledge of physician services documentation and coding compliance requirements
Respect for financial decision making strategies
Skill in physician recruitment and retention practices
Experience in quality improvement initiatives, preferably with leadership responsibilities
Overview
The Program Medical Director is critical to the success of every Cogent practice within a hospital, and is the clinical leader of the program sharing overall program leadership with the Cogent Program Manager. Together, the Program Medical Director and Program Manager are responsible for the performance of the Cogent team and its specific goals.
