Job Description
The Greenlee School of Journalism and Communication seeks an assistant professor to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in public relations.
Iowa State University is a Research I institution and faculty are expected to teach and advise students in one or more areas of expertise, maintain an active program of scholarship and provide service to the university and the profession.
The Greenlee School offers majors at the bachelor's level in journalism and mass communication and in advertising. The graduate program offers a master of science degree. Current enrollment is approximately 850 students. Iowa State University, located in Ames, Iowa, is a land-grant institution with approximately 27,000 students.
Required Qualifications
-A Doctorate in related field (completed by August 1, 2009)
-An active program of scholarship
-Professional experience in related area
Preferred Qualifications
-Evidence of excellence in teaching
-Evidence of excellence in scholarship
