Job Description
Supervises set up, service, and teardown of catering production. Prepares final billing statement. Participates in and supervises food ordering, production, service, sanitation, housekeeping and facilities maintenance. Participates in and assists with management of full-time, part-time and student personnel activities and needs. Assists in departmental decisions regarding policies, procedures and implementing new services. Depending upon which of the three catering operation incumbent is assigned to work, may also receive catering sales calls and secure events by estimating menu costs and preparing event proposals.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree plus one year food service experience. Must have or obtain, after hire, a ServSafe food handler's certification.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Hotel, Restaurant and Institution Management, Culinary Arts, Dietetics, Food and Nutrition, Business or related degree. Management experience in catering. Experience with food service software systems.
Salary
Normal hiring range is $33,255-$40357, commensurate with qualifications
