Job Description
Programmatic research in social psychology. Instruction in graduate and undergraduate courses in the psychology curriculum. Supervision of graduate student research.
Specialty area is open. Current areas of research emphasis in the social area include psychology and law; aggression; social judgment, self-fulfilling prophecies, social influence, persuasion and attitude change; close relationships, culture and self.
The successful applicant may wish to affiliate with the ISU Institute for Social and Behavior Research (ISBR), or the newly established Center for the Study of Violence (CSV) for collaborative research purposes.
Required Qualifications
Ph.D. in Psychology. Publication record, commensurate with experience, in major scientific journals relevant to social psychology. Record of successful teaching commensurate with experience.
In addition to the above qualifications, a record of external funding is required for appointment at the Associate Professor level.
