Engineer - Technical Support
Job Location: Iowa
Description:
The Technical Support Team Engineer provides and promotes the best technical product and support solutions for our customers, while insuring the business goals of the Global Business Unit (GBU) are met. As a member of Propel TST, this person will act as the gateway between the GBU (Product Teams) and Sales & Marketing for product support in North America.
Key responsibilities:
Testing
- Partner with Applications Engineering to review new customer duty cycles
- Provide coordination for simultaneous testing.
- Participate in customer qualification testing when requested by Sales and Marketing
- Support customer testing in Ames upon Sales and Marketing Request
- Understand and Review long term reliability testing results
- Follow-up on customer field testing in conjunction with the application review process
- Specify and coordinate competitive benchmark testing activities with the Product Team
Applications
- Interact with customers / applications engineering addressing specific application requirements
- Provide support for application reviews upon request
- Travel with Sales / Marketing personnel to assist with installation/application reviews when requested.
Problem Solving
- Participate in problem solving
- Failure analysis support; however, service remains the lead
- Help coordinate resolution of quality issues for NA applications
- Root cause analysis
- Interact with customers to address failures
Qualifications:
- 3 to 5 years experience in applications, design, or product engineering
- BS in Engineering (ME or AgE preferred) or equivalent training/education
Compensation/Benefits:
$60 to $70K plus benefits
