Job Summary/Basic Function
Under general supervision, provides moderately complex secretarial and clerical duties in support of the Student Services Program.

Specific Responsibilities
Assist in all phases of the Account Analyst area including receipting and accounting for all monies received, and analysis of student accounts.

Responsible for all phases of the Account Analyst area, including:

- Receipting and accounting for all monies received, balancing, disbursement of certain cash items, verification of money and reports from other departments;

- Utilization of Point-of-Sale On-line Cashiering system;

- Analyzing accounts;

- Preparing deposits;

- Perkins Loan duties;

- Handling a variety of situations requiring a good working knowledge of many University policies;

- Collections of University receivables and Perkins Loans;

- Requires extensive knowledge of federal regulations;

- Frequent contact with students, parents, faculty, and staff;

- Other duties as assigned within the Bursar Operations Unit.

Minimum Relevant Education:
High School diploma or GED

Associate`s Degree or up to 3 years of college or technical school

Required Experience
Two years of cashiering and bookkeeping experience; Knowledge of office procedures; Microsoft Word, and Excel experience.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities
Composes correspondence and administrative documents according to established guidelines.

Copies, distributes and files appropriate letters, transcripts, memoranda, reports and other materials in an organized manner.

Establishes and maintains organized, accessible and current filing and record-keeping systems according to established procedures.

Utilizes a variety of software applications in the development or design of documents and visual aids to meet the needs of the Student Services Department.

Enters data from forms, records and/or reports using BANNER software or onto appropriate website; codes information as appropriate.

Greets visitors and/or students; provides appropriate information or refers to appropriate personnel.

Maintains calendars and schedules appointments, meetings, and conferences; responsible for meeting facility and equipment, travel and/or lodging arrangements; assists with special event planning and execution.

Coordinates campus visits and assists with group tours as needed.

Monitors use of and maintains supplies, equipment and/or facilities for assigned program.

Assists with recruiting and marketing activities.

Assists with registration functions.

Directs clerical interns and/or work study students assigned to the department.

Performs other duties as assigned.
