Bankcard Customer Service Representative

Hours:
40 hours between 8 am and 6 pm, Monday through Friday
General Description:
Resolve various cardholder inquiries, tasks and complaints related to the following proprietary products: credit, debit, payroll, and gift cards.
Incumbent will be required to make independent decisions in resolving customer issues, occasionally escalating problems and complaints to a supervisor.Initiative and leadership qualities must be demonstrated while assisting customers.
Essential Functions:
Respond to all telephone and written customer inquiries quickly and efficiently concerning, but not limited to, credit card billing errors, disputed transactions, misapplied or incorrect payments, monetary/non-monetary changes, etc.
Assist branch personnel and affinity contacts on their inquiries.
Clear and concise documentation of issues is required.
Customer contact is varied and inquires may be routine, but generally involve extended contact and problem solving with customer.
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred with 6-12 months experience preferably in Banking or equivalency.
Excellent oral communication skills and phone etiquette are essential.
The ability to analyze credit bureau data to adjust credit lines in required.
