Retail Banking-Retail Teller (Part Time)

Hours: 20.0 - 37.5 hours per week
General Description:
General responsibilities are to process transactions of paying and receiving nature. The teller position will handle customer inquiries that will include routine requests for information as well as more involved queries. Position requires teller referrals of new business to the appropriate bank department. Referrals include (but are not limited to): Deposit Accounts, Loans, (personal, credit card and small business), Wealth Management, and Investment Products.
Essential Functions:
Position will handle individual and commercial deposits, payments, withdrawals and other transactions that occur in the teller window. Issue Official check and money orders. Process customer’s checks for paying or cashing and issue receipts. Incumbent will be required to routinely balance their cash drawer. Stays current on bank policies and procedures in order to provide quality customer service through operational issues, and may refer problems to supervisor as needed. Will attend product knowledge training and promotional meetings offered in order to keep current on all issues.
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
High School Diploma or equivalent experience in retail business. Requires good interpersonal and customer service skills. Needs to be organized and able to work within a small group. Ability to operate 10-Key pad by touch. Experience with various office equipment including a personal computer. Working Conditions:
Normal office environment. Depending on location, office space may be confined. Some lifting may be required. Extended periods of sitting or standing. Extended periods of viewing CRT terminal.
