Business Intelligence Analyst

Description

Expectations
* Responsible for proactively supporting our corporate accounting organization by initializing, maintaining, and completing accounting and finance reporting projects and queries.
* Responsible for translating high-level business reporting requirements into detailed function specifications and if necessary, for managing requests for changes to the specifications.
* Assist the business in determining which business requirements can and should be automated via our Global Data Warehouse Environment.
* Determine data sources for reporting requirements and identify additional data that may need pulled from source systems.
* Work with data infrastructure team to develop a plan to get additional data required.
* Set up web based screen using Admin Panel Tool for input of new data and data mapping / integrations needed to satisfy reporting requirements
* Develop stored procedures where required to prepare data for report production
* Design and build OLAP cubes if required to meet reporting needs.
* Meet commitments or raise issue and communicate when milestones will be missed.
* Ensure that all reporting solutions are delivered and perform optimally per IT standards
* Demonstrate proficiency in all aspects of programming and analysis
* Adhere to defined development practices and change control procedures
* Interface with accounting business leadership routinely to review project timelines, effectiveness, milestones, successes, and areas for improvement.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Computing related discipline
* 2-4+ years of accounting systems experience (SAP, HFM, Cognos, related) preferably in a manufacturing environment.
* 3+ years of Stored Procedure and Advanced SQL query building experience.
* Strong customer service skills with the ability to work with a diverse, global customer base. Excellent oral and written communications skills are essential in this role.
* Experience and knowledge of SQL/Server Report Delivery technologies preferred
* SQL/Server Reporting Services (Report design, development, deployment and management) and SQL/Server Analysis Services (Cube design, development, deployment and management)
* MDX Knowledge would be a significant advantage but not essential
* Must have the ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team as well as ability to learn quickly and adapt to a dynamic environment
* Keep technical skills up to date as required
