Business Reporting Manager
This highly visible role is integral in supporting INVISTA's Intermediates business by providing accurate business analysis and business reporting leadership. Relying on gained experience, you will develop strategies to drive proactive and profitable strategies to drive & measure business initiatives to increase profitability. You will also lead a Financial Analysis team implementing strategies to optimize working capital and capital consumed, tax strategies, ad hoc analysis & reporting, summary reporting, and other analysis as requested.
Business Analyst Leader Responsibilities:
* Understand, document, and challenge levels of inventory to run the business.
* Research value added on legal entity transfers and create way to manage pricing strategies.
* As Tax Liaison work with tax group to understand key drivers for tax credits applicable to Intermediates and work to educate analysts and other team members in order to maximize credits. Also manage tax strategies across all Intermediates groups.
* Work with analysts and business leaders to create monthly/quarterly capital consumed reporting that will be beneficial to the business team.
* Give leaders detail on a monthly basis of Indirect SGA charges by capability as well as an understanding as to how each capability is charging their business.
* Create and produce capital consumed reporting for Intermediates business to help business leaders understand and manage their capital consumed.
Business Reporting Leader Responsibilities:
* Develop staff on financial analysis and reporting, identify reporting process enhancements, and define expectations for staff to develop and deliver.
* Manage monthly reporting processes, set and develop standards on reporting and define expectations for all team members.
* Lead development of reporting methodology to automate and standardize reporting and build new procedures for monthly closing expectations and reporting development.
* Work with business leaders and business analysts to help develop reporting and refine monthly reporting packages that will be useful to business teams.
* Work to automate and standardize various reporting processes, methods, and tools used by business analysts for monthly analysis and reporting.
* Work to ensure team understands/focuses on compliance areas within their roles.
Requirements:
* BS in Accounting or Finance with 5+ years of finance related industry experience.
* Willingness to work in a Business Combination / Purchase Accounting environment of an $3.8 billion entity.
* Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills.
* Strong networking and team building skills.
* Ability to work under pressure created by tight deadlines combined with a need for a high degree of accuracy and accountability.
Preferred:
* Knowledge of corporate and business accounting and reporting systems (Hyperion / SAP a plus).
* Financial and business analysis at a major corporation.
