Emergency Response and Security Coordinator

Job Location: Orange, TX

Shift: Full Time

Description
We are currently seeking an Emergency Response and Security Coordinator to provide guidance and ensure compliance for company, state, and federal safety and security policies and regulations for the INVISTA site in Orange, TX.

Responsibilities/Position Summary:
- Ensure emergency response coverage and training for site
- Improve leadership and training for emergency response personnel
- Provide emergency response support on all safety and health projects
- Maintain and develop emergency response and security procedures manuals
- Outline and implement emergency response and security training programs for employees
- Ensure test emergency response system
- Ensure all emergency response and security issues are critiqued and investigated
- Coordinate emergency response pre-planning activities
- Site contact for emergency response and security issues
- Ensure all regulations are observed in relation to emergency response, fire protection systems and security.
- Inspect company facilities and recommend corrections or additional precautions to ensure compliance to established regulations
- Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

Education/Certification Required:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent

Education/Certification Preferred.
- B.S. in Fire Protection or related science/engineering field
- CFPS (Certified Fire Protection Specialist) or CSP (Certified Safety Professional)

Experience & Skills Required:
- 2+ years safety, health or emergency response experience in a petrochemical facility
- Demonstrated knowledge of governmental safety, emergency response and security regulations including ANSI (American National Standards Institute), NFPA (National Fire Protection Association)
- Demonstrated knowledge of petrochemical plant operations
- Demonstrated knowledge of industrial fire protection systems
- Ability to analyze technical and regulatory information and provide recommendations to site/regional personnel
- Strong communication skills [oral and written]
- Strong interpersonal skills – ability to lead teams – team members
- Ability to handle multiple tasks, work independently and manage priorities
- Strong computer skills
