Accounts Payable Accounting Assistant

Description:
This is an Accounting Assistant role supporting INVISTA accounts payable at INVISTA Global Headquarters in Wichita, KS. This position is part of the US Regional Accounting Group and contributes to INVISTA by:
* Ensuring the timely and accurate input of vendors into SAP (accounting system) for processing and payment of invoices.
* Build relationships with internal and external customers to solve problems, share knowledge, and improve processes.
* Proactively identify potential issues as well as process improvement opportunities.
Accounts payable invoice processing:
* Process invoices into accounts payable (SAP) system accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring on time payment.
* Work with internal customers to quickly resolve issues, helping them to understand processes and solutions.
* Build productive working relationships with procurement and site persons.
* Respond quickly and professionally to external customer concerns.
* Identify system opportunities, recognizing and challenging both when processes do not work as expected, as well as opportunities to change processes for greater value creation.
* Build processes into daily work to be proactive in the prevention of payment issues.
* Share learnings with others and identify opportunities to improve both personal and group efficiencies.
* Support projects that impact accounts payable process with ideas and testing activities.
* Challenge each activity as it relates to compliance, ensuring appropriate controls are followed to limit compliance and business risk related to invoice payment activities.
* Provide backup support to other accounts payable processes as needed.
Requirements:
* High school diploma
* Excellent data entry skills (including 10 key)
* Strong attention to detail
* Proficiency in MicroSoft Office programs
* Self motivated with ability to manage time and multi-task
* Customer service focus
* Problem solving skills
Preferred:
*Experience working with customers
