Description

These roles include full-time positions for recent accounting and finance graduates as well as internships and co-ops for accounting and finance students. Our CFO organization includes financially-oriented functions such as accounting, finance, credit, tax, treasury, risk management, and commercial development. This role would support the accounting and/or financial reporting functions at our Wichita, KS headquarters. Responsibilities include performance of transactional accounting and/or financial reporting tasks that will ensure accurate financial statements in a quality and timely manner while ensuring high internal controls. This requires good communication and networking with the businesses we support to resolve issues that affect transactional accounting and/or financial reporting accuracy.
Job Responsibilities:
Successful employees apply their technical accounting and financial expertise to business and process problems in order to create value through constant change and improvement. Your internship role with INVISTA could include a focus on one or more of the following areas:
• Perform transactional accounting activities in compliance with financial, regulatory, and INVISTA® accounting policies and guidelines
•Balance Sheet stewardship (account reconciliations and ownership)
•Assist in the preparation and distribution of monthly business unit and consolidated business financial statements
•Analyze financial results and identify issues that need to be addressed as part of each month’s accounting close process
•Assist in the preparation of annual plan and periodic forecasts and updates
•Proactively identify and implement internal control, financial systems and reporting process improvements
Qualifications:
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills in order to interact with all levels of the organization.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently on multiple issues.
• A desire to work in a large, global organization.
• Proficiency with MS Office applications
• Accounting, Finance majors. Other majors may be considered if complemented with at least 9 hours of accounting coursework.
• Minimum major 3.0 GPA
