INVISTA is currently seeking a Commercial Attorney to join our global in-house legal team at our corporate headquarters in Wichita, KS.
Primary Responsibility in the Following Areas:
- Corporate Governance: Responsibility for the corporate governance of, and corporate secretarial duties for, all INVISTA subsidiaries, which are chartered in over 25 different countries. This responsibility will include supervising legal professionals and directing a global team supporting the corporate governance function.
- Corporate Accounting, Treasury, Tax and Commercial: Responsibility for supporting INVISTA's global accounting and treasury functions in relation to sophisticated reporting and bank financing issues and also responsibility for supporting INVISTA's corporate tax projects and other commercial matters, as needed from time to time.
Requirements:
- 4+ years of legal experience practicing corporate law with a national law firm
- Experience drafting corporate agreements and resolutions
- J.D. Degree
- Must be able to appropriately challenge business leaders
- Must have strong legal thinking skills, effective communication and drafting skills with a thorough understanding of corporate legal issues
- Excellent project management and organizational skills
- Must exhibit a strong desire to work on challenging and complex global projects
- Must show a strong commitment to all areas of compliance
Preferences:
- Supervisory experience of support staff
- International corporate governance experience
