INVISTA’s Performance Materials segment, which includes airbag fiber, industrial fiber, cordage, and Cordura® has an opportunity in the field of medical textiles. We are currently seeking an experienced candidate for the position of Business Development Manager – Medical. This position will be based in our Kennesaw, GA office.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Identify distribution partners, logistic suppliers, and other business partners.
• Lead partnership development for initial medical studies
• Build relationships with leaders in the medical community
• Lead sales activity
• Manage relationships with vendors
• Gather and report direct market intelligence
Skills & Experience Required:
• Experience with medical textiles highly desired, but medical device experience considered.
• Experience with medical distribution channels.
• Analytical approach to business development
• 5+ years of experience working with distributors, specifiers, nurses, Doctors, hospital administrative committees, or hospital purchasing departments.
• Direct experience selling to, and selling through large-scale medical distribution partners
• Contract, price, and terms negotiation experience required.
• Direct or indirect experience designing field trials for medical products.
• Ability to understand the P&L implications of every activity in the start-up phase. Some exposure to smaller, startup operations is preferred.
• Formal and informal research is required with end users and specifiers. Experience gathering research, and managing third party research is preferred.
• Prior history of launching new treatment protocols preferred
• Extensive regional travel >50%
Education:
• 4-year college degree required. MBA a plus.
