Responsibilities:
*Develop an understanding of the Active wear and Outdoor (AO) market around the globe, including market structure, opportunities, profitability and competitive dynamics
*Interface across regions, segments and different parts of the business to ensure AO global efforts are understood, followed, and supported
*Develop a value story on the key products and help define strategies to maximize profitability
*Work with the technical and R&D team to identify, substantiate economic potential, support development and write roll out plans for new AO products and technologies
*Provide guidance and help develop global tools, marketing materials, and PR to support Key AO products, including LYCRA® fiber and COOLMAX® fabric.
*Manage the process of developing new fabrics featuring INVISTA fibers and gather commercial fabrics to present to customers
*Acquire an overall market knowledge and ensure appropriate sharing of information across the Apparel business
*Responsible for brand certification standards and product claims
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Management, textile or related field
- 8+ yrs of fundamental experience in business development, marketing & sales
- Experience in the Apparel/Textile industry is preferred, ideally within the Activewear/Outerwear segment
- Experience in leading projects in a multi-cultural environment
- Demonstrated management and leadership capability
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interface across all functions/teams
- Good organization and economic thinking skills
- Strong sense of urgency to achieve results
- Exceptional oral/written communication and presentation skills
- Ability to travel 25% of the time
