This position will be responsible for the financial results and performance reporting for multiple small manufacturing sites. We are seeking a leader who can drive cultural advancement and behavioral changes that will advance financial performance.  As site finance manager you will be working with business and manufacturing leaders to explain site performance and ensuring metrics are aligned with economic strategies, utilizing the challenge process to drive positive change.  You will be an integral member of each sites leadership team developing ways to add value and improve net income and return on capital. You will also be involved in various levels of economic analysis related to strategic initiatives, while employing the appropriate risk-taking mentality necessary to generate the greatest contributions.  Additionally, the site finance manager will also ensure critical processes and controls are in place to successfully execute capital projects.  Collaboration and challenge will be important as you work closely with your peers and are an integral member of the PS&M finance leadership team.  

 

 

Job responsibilities will include:

  • Ownership for the financial results of each site
  • Ownership for site Capital Investments ensuring economics are sound and that capital is used efficiently and effectively (ROCC) & those investments are yielding the value expected
  • DMF Economics, Project Control assurance & Post Project Economics (key projects)
  • Site Internal Control Assurance Leader (physical assets, inventory, and other financial related processes managed at the site)
  • Responsible for connecting the site leadership team to financial performance, drivers and opportunities for improvement
  • Responsible for driving strategic development and financial performance at each site
  • Alignment of site actions to business drivers and expected outcome, leading the challenge process to drive site performance
  • Providing timely site and business economic analysis, plant profitability analysis, and aligning sites and business objectives.
  • Drive Value Creation and financial improvement through Principled Entrepreneurship and Economic Thinking
  • Site Efficiency Tracking and Business Optimization (In conjunction with site leadership) which includes:
    • Raw Material Utilization
    • Labor Utilization
    • Energy Efficiency
    • Consumption of all other materials & services
    • Effective asset utilization and waste elimination

 

Required Experience:

  • BS degree in Accounting or Finance
  • At least 8 years of manufacturing accounting or finance experience
  • Experience with Microsoft Office including Excel - spreadsheet creation/editing, pivot tables, data manipulation/analysis and formulas creation etc.; PowerPoint - presentation creation/editing); Word - creating and modifying documents and tables
  • Experience communicating complex or technical issues to business leaders

Preferred Experience

  • Masters Degree
  • Previous supervisor experience
  • Previous experience at a chemical and/or process manufacturing facility
  • Experience using a financial ERP model (i.e. SAP)

Travel 25%
