Primary Responsibility in the Following Areas:
Responsibility for providing global legal services for INVISTAs international Apparel business unit, including:

• Participation as counsel to the INVISTA Apparel Global Leadership Team, responsible for managing the LYCRA spandex, COOLMAX fabric and other related businesses
• Support for Apparel commercial contract needs around the world
• Legal compliance advice for Apparel business activities in jurisdictions as diverse as China, India, Brazil and Italy
• Strategic input on global marketing and branding initiatives
• Support for Apparel business growth initiatives, including international capital project and cross border M&A work
• Supervision of the Apparel team of in-house legal professionals and external legal advisors
• Must be able to appropriately challenge business leaders
• Must have strong legal thinking skills and economic judgment
• Must have effective communication and drafting skills with a thorough understanding of corporate and commercial legal issues
• Must have excellent leadership, project management and organizational skills
• Must exhibit a strong desire to work on challenging and complex global projects
• Must show a strong commitment to all areas of compliance

Requirements:

• 6+ years of legal experience practicing corporate law with a national law firm or in a corporate environment
• J.D. degree from a national law school

Preferences:

• Supervisory experience leading other attorneys and support staff
• International legal experience
