We are currently seeking candidates who are proficient in Mandarin and English to fill roles in INVISTAs Legal organization. This job will be based at our corporate headquarters in Wichita, Kansas, for approximately a period of 1 year from date of hire, with the intention of relocating to Shanghai/China after the first year. Visas or work permits are not offered; however, moving assistance will be considered for the relocation to Shanghai/China.

Primary Responsibility in the Following Areas:

• Providing a range of global legal services for INVISTA businesses and functions operating in over 25 different countries, including providing strategic legal advice, merger & acquisition support, and contract management for commercial initiatives and capital projects.
  
• Must have strong legal thinking skills and judgment, effective communication and drafting skills with a thorough understanding of corporate and commercial legal issues.
  
• Must be able to work in a team environment and to appropriately challenge the business organization to achieve profitable solutions.
  
• Excellent leadership, project management and organizational skills.
  
• Must exhibit a strong desire to work on challenging and complex global projects.
  
• Must show a strong commitment to all areas of compliance.
  

Requirements:

• 2+ years of legal experience practicing corporate law with a law firm or in a corporate environment.
  
• Must have completed LL.M by May 2014
  
• Experience drafting corporate agreements and instruments.
  
• Ability to provide original documents which verify your identity and legally authorized right to work in China as part of INVISTA`s Back to Asia program.
  
• Ability to provide Employee Authorization Documentation through Occupation Practical Training (OPT) / Academic Training.
  
• Proficiency in Mandarin and English, both written and verbal. Applicants will be required to demonstrate proficiency during the selection process.
