INVISTA`s Performance Surfaces & Materials (PS&M) Business is currently seeking a candidate for the position of Accounting Assistant this position will be based in our Kennesaw, GA office.

The Accounting Assistant is the primary interface with internal and external customers relating to Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable invoices, responsible for processing, and ensuring invoice accuracy for a high volume of TECGEN global orders.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Primary interface with vendors relating to Accounts Payable invoice processing.
  
• Primary interface with customers relating to Accounts Receivable invoice processing.
  
• Assist with month end close activities.
  
• Assist with ad-hoc accounting activities.
  
• Ensure critical processes and controls are in place to meet internal controls and compliance needs.
  
• High level of critical thinking and decision-making skills to ensure invoice accuracy with minimal supervision.
  
• Work closely with credit and collections relating to invoices.
  
• Actively seeks ways to more efficiently process invoices.
  
• Excellent oral and written communication skills to communicate effectively with internal and external customers.
  
• Strong organization and prioritization skills; ability to quickly adapt to changes in workload requirements, efficiently structure responsibilities and work independently.
  
• Interpersonal and teaming skills; ability to work across functional groups to drive continuous improvement.
  
• Strong ability to process and review data completely and accurately in efforts to produce high quality work.
  
• Must be flexible and able to work in a challenging and fast-paced work environment.
  

Experience & Skills Required:

• At least 1 year accounting, bookkeeping, and/or processing experience
  

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with QuickBooks
  
• Experience with AS400
  
• Experience with SAP
  
• Experience with MS Office (Excel)
  

Education:

• Associates Degree or higher in Accounting, Business Administration - preferred.
