Contact Center Engineer

Responsibilities
Job Summary:
Improve the productivity, quality, performance and profitability of company call centers, and support the implementation and coordination of call center processes & applications. This position works with all areas and levels of the company to provide information and analysis regarding call center operations, to design and implement new or existing call center processes and technologies, and to support call center planning activities.
Candidate will be responsible for maintaining and supporting the Avaya PBX and Genesys computer telephony integration suite.
Responsibilities:
- Collect and analyze information on call center operations.
- Design engineered solutions using new or existing call center technologies and techniques.
- Develop ways of measuring and reporting operational effectiveness.
- Perform economic analysis of proposed capital expenditure alternatives.
- Solicit feedback from functional areas concerning proposed call center improvement ideas.
- Implement business process improvement projects.
- Measure and report the benefit of implemented call center projects.
- Complete assigned tasks on-time and error-free.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Knowledge in one or more of the following areas: Telecommunications, Process Engineering, Operations Research, or Operations Management.
- Personal computing fluency in spreadsheets, relational databases, QMF, SQL, MS Office, Windows XP and networking concepts. MS Access and Excel fluency is a must.
- Competency in PBX programming, Visual Basic 6 or higher, SQL, or similar programming languages.
- Strong communication (both written and oral) & motivation skills.
- Ability to manage and complete projects in a timely manner with little supervision.
- Technical degree with two years of call center experience or an Engineering degree.
