PC Support Internship

Responsibilities
The IT Internship position offers college students the opportunity to gain practical experience, while working towards a degree in Information Technology/Systems. It focuses on the integration of classroom and applied learning. Positions are in PC support, application development, network infrastructure, host/mainframe support, and engineering. Interns may choose to rotate positions on a regular basis to maximize learning. Responsibilities could include any of the following:
Build, configure, and install workstations to meet end user needs
Interface with end users.
Become exposed to Windows XP operating system and command line, Microsoft Office application software, communications software such as 3270 emulation and e-mail clients, DB2 database platform, and TCP/IP and SNA networking protocols.
Qualifications
• Be enrolled (or have just completed) a course of study in Information Technology at an accredited university or junior college
• Have an overall cumulative GPA of at least 2.75 with a 3.0 or higher in Major.
• Proof of GPA must be presented at hire and provided at the end of each semester.
• Generally be available to work at least 20 hours per week while carrying a normal complement of classes (12 hours). As an exception, a manager may allow average work week to be reduced to 15 hours for any given semester to accommodate a difficult school schedule.
While not required, it is preferred that an intern candidate have at least 18 months to projected graduation. All internships will last at least 6 months.

Employment is conditional upon successful completion of pre-employment drug screening and background check.
