Position Summary
As a Branch Director, you'll be responsible for directing the overall activities of a Branch Office within the Integrated Capacity Solutions division. Your focus will be servicing customers in a target market, earning acceptable rate of return on sales, maintaining growth targets and profitability, as well as growing and developing your staff. If you are enthusiastic, eager to be part of the cutting edge of third party logistics, and aspire for excellence, then Integrated Capacity Solutions is the place for you!
Responsibilities
- Identify customer needs and provide 3rd party logistics solutions
- Initiate and maintain effective relationships with customers for branch growth
- Negotiate rates with customers to maximize profitability
- Budget and profit-and-loss responsibility
- Hire, train and develop staff to meet branch objectives
- Maintain contact with other J.B. Hunt divisions for daily outsourcing needs
- Other duties as required
Qualifications
- 4 year degree with 3-5 years cargo brokerage experience or
- 5 years direct cargo brokerage experience
- 2-3 years progressive management experience
- Excellent analytical skills
- Prior profit and loss responsibility preferred
- Must be willing to be on call 24 hours a day
- Strong negotiation and relationship management skills
