Regional Sales Director
POSITION SUMMARY
Sells insurance to new and current clients by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Compiles database of potential clients in prospecting to determine their insurance write-ability.
Contacts prospective clients and explains features and merits of policies offered, inspects premises, guides prospects in the amount and type of coverage based on analysis of prospect's circumstances.
Completes all appropriate applications & documentation meeting company personal service goals.
Contacts policyholders to complete renewal applications, providing personal service including inspections of premises.
Calls on policyholders to deliver and explain policy, assist in making additions or changes in coverages and completes related paperwork for requested endorsements or changes, loss payable requests, claim assistance, etc.
Represents JMIC, in a marketing capacity, at appropriate jewelry association functions including trade shows and conventions.
Completes activity reports and expense reports, submitting to Regional Sales Director on a regular and timely basis.
PRINCIPAL WORKING RELATIONSHIPS
Internal: Support Staff, Management.
External: Prospective and existing clients; insurance company staff including but not limited to underwriting.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
COMPUTER SKILLS
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft suite including Excel and Word software. Ability to use Vision agency management web-based program.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must maintain a current, unrestricted property/casualty insurance license in the state of residence. May require nonresident license in other states.
OTHER REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Travel is required.
