Required:
MS degree in electrical engineering or a BS degree in electrical engineering plus three or more years relevant design experience. Demonstrated capability of creating new, innovative concepts in antenna systems and design. Must have an ability and interest to work as part of a team including engineering and support staff. Demonstrated leadership traits such as strong technical capabilities, clear thinking, good interpersonal skills, and effective communications skills.
Desired:
A background that includes a combination of hands-on and analytical design experience is highly desirable. Experience with compact range facilities for radar or antenna measurements. Familiar with current commercial electromagnetic software tools (HFSS, Ansoft Designer, FEKO, and SONNET).
Job Description:
Design antennas and antenna systems for civilian and military space missions. Design antennas for ground and space applications. Prepare test plans/procedures and lead the effort that verifies antenna performance. Conduct antenna measurements using either a far-field and/or compact antenna range. Document results and prepare internal reports and external conference papers. Lead a team of mechanical engineers, designers, and fabrication personnel to realize antenna product. Use commercial electromagnetic simulation tools such as FEKO, Ansoft (HFSS and Designer), and SONNET.
