Introduction
The Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory (APL), a national leader in scientific research and development, located midway between Baltimore and Washington, DC is seeking a Electrical Engineer-Michoprocessor and Embedded.

Responsibilities
Engineering of Electo-optical, electromagnetic, sensor systems, data acquisition and remote communications systems. Design real-time embedded systems for analog and digital signal collection and processing systems. Microprocessor, DSP, CPLD, FPGA, ect., and sensor electrical and embedded firmware design, integration and test. Sensor and sensor embedded processing and fabrication system design. Specification and integration system design using commercial and custom components. Field test system operation and data collection.

Qualifications
MS or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering. New graduate. Demonstrated track record in the design of innovative electronic and electromechanical systems. Prototype electrical and embedded design using analog, digital, FPGA and DSP components; Intel, Motorola, ARM and other processes. Knowledge of engineering principles of firmware, software and analysis techniques, closed and open loop control systems. Ability to work effectively and communicate with other engineers, scientist, and technicians as a member of a team.

Special Work Conditions
Routine use of APL vehicles for travel to local test sites. Long distance travel to remote sites.

Security
Applicants selected will be subject to a Government security investigation and must meet the eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Eligibility requirements include US citizenship.
