- Master`s in nursing, public health or related field
- Maryland RN license required
- 2-3 year previous experience required
Job Duties:
Responsible for the continuous surveillance, detection, prevention and control of infectious agents in the Medical Center. Make inspections of Medical Center clinical facilities and regularly reviews positive laboratory results from culture studies done in microbiology,serology and tuberculosis clinical laboratories. Uses result in detecting the extent and probable causation of infectious illness in patients. Maintains an active communication liaison with external health agencies in attempting to prevent the spread of infections into the community. CIC Certification in Infection Control required.
