Government Move Supervisor
Location :Virginia Corporate Headquarters, Sterling VA US
Job Description :
SCOPE: Under the direction of the Government Services (GSD) Manager, provides customer service handled shipment management duties for government transferees. Position interacts with several service areas within the organization, including Accounting, Operations, International, and Claims to ensure all move services are performed in accordance with federal government, agency, and company guidelines.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Microsoft Office suite or comparable software packages.
- Move management experience preferred.
- Knowledge of military and government household goods management is a plus.
- Good math skills.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- High attention to detail.
- Logistics coordination or freight forwarding experience a plus.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coordinates all assigned government moves from point of shipment award to delivery.
- Monitors and tracks coordination of all government moves assigned to suppliers from point of shipment acceptance to delivery.
- Receives survey results and verifies all quoted services are in accordance with federal government guidelines DTR, FTR, and GSA HTOS.
- Rates survey results to verify shipping costs are within government requirements.
- Cross-trained to assist State Dept GSC and cover position in time of need.
- Collects, tracks, and files all shipment delivery documents from supplier to ensure timely billing to government.
- Communicates with transferee to coordinate move and to ensure the highest level of customer service and satisfaction.
- Reports directly to the GS Manager on all departmental matters.
- Other projects, special assignments, and administrative duties as assigned.
