Report Designer

Job Description :
SCOPE:The Report Writers role is to support the organization through the development of reporting and business intelligence tools that efficiently and effectively fulfill business objectives. Duties include report development, design, delivery, as well as improvement of existing report libraries and archives. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: - Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field and three years equivalent work experience.
- Hands-on knowledge of enterprise reporting development platforms, including Microsoft Windows environments.
- Must be proficient with Crystal Reports, SSMS and SSRS. Familiarity with MS SharePoint, MS Dynamics CRM and MS Dynamics GP is a plus.
- Ability to absorb new ideas and identify business processes quickly.
- Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Develop decision support reporting solutions through creating, testing, and maintaining report logic.
- Understand and document the business reporting needs of our clients and translate them into clearly defined detailed, client-focused requirements.
- Analyzes data contained in databases and identify data integrity issues with existing and proposed reports and implement solutions.
- Configures, deploys and maintains report delivery mechanisms for end users.
- Communicates report criteria and methodologies to technology development teams, end users, and unit leaders.
- Identifies and learns appropriate reporting software applications used and supported by the organization.
- Posts updates, knowledge bases, and frequently asked questions resources on company intranet to assist in reporting problem resolution.
- Provides support for the testing of new and existing software applications under development or consideration for purchase as pertains to enterprise reporting.
- Applies diagnostic utilities to aid in troubleshooting.
- Identifies opportunities that can improve efficiency of business processes.
- Other duties as assigned.
