SCOPE:
This senior-level position is responsible for all aspects of the Division's profit and performance. Working extensively with the Operations, Accounting, Administrative, and Sales teams, the GM assumes full accountability for all aspects of the Division's success and management. All budgeting, P&L, pricing, and growth for the operation of the Division will be held in ownership by the GM
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
• Extensive background in operations, logistics, technical automation, and financial accounting.
• Strong organizational and leadership skills consistent with a multifaceted work environment.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with strong oral and written communication.
• Detail oriented and customer focused.
• Ability to troubleshoot operational problems.
• Familiar with applicable Federal, State and Local regulatory agency requirements for handling, storage and transportation of goods.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and a driving record satisfactory to the Company and its insurers.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:
• Full responsibility and oversight of the 24/6 commercial moving/storage/records retention operation that includes a 100,000 sq. foot warehousing facility and truck fleet.
• Manages the Operations & Warehouse Managers and is ultimately responsible for 5 direct reports and 200+employees.
• Leads by example and works towards achieving comprehensive training and development of all staff members.
• Ensures customer satisfaction and operational excellence.
• Participates in customer meetings to build relationships.
• Ensures accurate financial, budgeting, and forecasting for Divisional Accounting & A/R.
• Works collaboratively with the Training, and Safety/Compliance Managers to maintain and develop safety culture among all employees
• Participates in and promotes Divisional and Corporate initiatives.
• Interfaces routinely with accounting, maintenance, sales, and operations counterparts to ensure the highest level of qualify service to customers.
• Communication and coordination with shared services Divisions to ensure that all areas are running efficiently and effectively.
• Other duties as assigned.
