Assistant Superintendent/Chief Operator Waterville, Kennebec Sanitary Treatment District, Maine`s third largest municipal wastewater facility is seeking qualified applicants for Asst. Superintendent/Chief Operator. Required qualifications are 7 years of education/work experience in wastewater treatment or related field that includes a minimum of 2 years of college or technical school in water or wastewater technology, environmental science or closely related field. Applicant should be able to obtain a State of Maine wastewater plant operator Grade four (4), certification or equivalent within two years of hiring. Experience in laboratory testing, maintenance, supervision of personnel and knowledge of safety and CSO programs and demonstration of responsibility in previous jobs desirable. This position offers a salary range of $52,000 to $62,400 per year, (depending on work experience and education) and an excellent benefit package.
